Purpova: an app that helps children speak English, native on phones and tablets

Custom Software
A children’s English speaking app on iPad, iPhone and Android: a parent reviews a recorded talk, a child performs on stage, and today’s speaking mission

Client

Purpova, an app that helps children speak English. In development, not released yet.

Context

An app that helps children aged 7 to 12 speak English with confidence, through short speaking missions with a mascot coach and a parent review.

Problem

The app had to be safe for children, keep parents in control, and feel native on phones and tablets.

What we did

Native iOS, iPadOS and Android apps on a shared Kotlin Multiplatform core with SwiftUI and Compose interfaces, a parent gate and a paywall. Alongside it, a backend platform for a later version, with NestJS, Postgres, a staff dashboard and a controlled AI service.

Deliverable

Native apps with release automation and UI tests on CI; a backend platform with a go-live checklist.

Results

In development: not released yet. Named with the client’s permission. Project figures stay under NDA.
